Knowing your audience and not just their demographics; gender, age, etc. but their psychographics e.g., activities, interests, and opinions, you will be able to grasp a better understanding of who they are and how best to engage with your audience.
3. Researching and discovering the best content platforms and types of content to publish.
Now you know your audience, it is time to understand what digital platforms they are generally on, most commonly use, and current trends that will capture and engage their interest in your products and/or services.
4. Establishing a content calendar and creating your content.
Creating content for the first time is exciting! But, before you fall down a rabbit hole of creative ideas and content that does not really flow, start developing your content plan of attack. This is achieved through choosing a topic per month or campaign and choosing which content, whether this be a article, blog, social post etc. on what days and time to be published.
5. Identify and allocate resources.
Fantastic! You have your content schedule but, now you need the right resources and individuals to help you develop the content. Once you have created your content schedule, add a point where you add the individual responsible for that piece of content.
6. Publish, socialise, and measure results.
Ready, set, publish! Woho! you have now created your content, now it is time to publish your content into the online world, watch your audience engage, and measure the success of your posts.
