Women Empowering Women

Yesterday, we were fortunate to organise and share in a lady's lunch with a bunch of incredible women.
 
At the start of the year Tracy De Paolis organised her very first, inaugural International Women's Day lunch. Since then, we have been lucky enough to build a strong group of women, who come together to learn, to educate, to be mentored, to listen, and to have a place without judgement and be part of a sisterhood in both professional and personal environments.
 
Thank you to the wonderful ladies at Contatore Engineering for our surprise gift bag, filled with super warm socks, chocolates, a water bottle and more!
 
Thank you to the ladies who joined our group for the first time – Jay Crisp Crow, Jasmyn Hutin, and Caroline Taylor, – it was great to hear a little about who you are!
 
Caroline provided us with some valuable information on United Way West Australia and the programs that they have ongoing to support the community. As mentioned recently, Novata Solutions were proud to have sponsored United Way WA's event back in June 2021 to launch their newest program, #EmpoweredforEmployment. This program is targeted at supporting women who have experienced family and domestic violence and are preparing to re-enter the workforce and/ or pursue their goals. Jasmyn Hutin works for Orana House, which focuses on providing housing, advocacy and support for women who are survivors of domestic and family violence. Read more here.
 
A big congratulations to Alex, Lauren Paunich, and Indiana De Paolis for their amazing event #TheGreatSpectacular. For those of us who went, it was an amazing night and done so well it left us cheering for MORE! The money raised will be going to the The The Daniel Morcombe Foundation Inc.
 
The lunch was a perfect opportunity to build networks and create friendships with some amazing and talented women across not-for-profit, self-employment, and corporate business. We're looking forward to upcoming events and announcing the group name which will be released soon!!
